These are so simple to make, because Sassafras has generously provided a free printable template.
Print the template onto the inside of an 8.5 by 11 piece of card stock. Cut out the shape and carefully score along the inside lines. (Use the tip of a pair of scissors like a pencil and trace along the lines. Be sure to not cut all the way through the paper). Punch little holes in each triangle. Now fold all of the pieces and use a thin ribbon to tie the pieces together. You don't need to use any glue or tape. The little box holds together perfectly.
These little boxes are easy to open and close, and would be perfect for a little Mother's Day gift like earrings or a necklace. They are easy to reuse and a great thing to have on hand for last minute gifts.

Darling boxes!

ReplyDeleteLove these gift boxes. I too like to make my own. I've recently made a gift box that looks like a mini handbag, see http://how-to-be-a-bad-artist.com/craft-techniques/handbag-giftbox/. I've created a free template. Enjoy
