Leafy Green Color Palette

June 19, 2013 by Rachel 4 Comments

Nature Inspired Color Palettes – Week 5

I love the beautiful shades of green found in these leaves. All of the colors in this leafy green color palette were selected directly from this picture.

The challenge: Look for color inspiration in nature. Take pictures of beautiful things in nature, then use the dropper tool in your photo editing program to create a nature inspired color palette.

What do you think? Do you like the monochromatic look as much as I do? Have you ever decorated or created something using different shades of green?

Thanks, Rachel, for this beautiful color palette. Green is my favorite color, and I love the mixture of light and dark shades.

I love green too, and the different shades of green are very beautiful together.

It is so interesting that you are able to match the exact colors from the photo using your editing software. I did not realize that was possible. Thanks for the information.

Yes, it's a really neat trick. You just hover the dropper tool over the photo and it will select that exact color for you.
