The Best Toddler Gift Idea

Play All Day Elmo 2

Thanks Playskool for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts, opinions, and photos are my own. #PlayskoolCrew

Last month  I shared a little big about Oliver’s favorite new toy, the Playskool Sesame Street Play All Day Elmo. He’s at an age where it’s hard to find anything that will keep his attention for longer than a minute, but his Elmo is one of his favorites.

The Play All Day Elmo is soft and snugly, so even though it is interactive, Oliver can still cuddle with him. There are also three different modes: toddler, preschool, and nap. The toddler mode is the basic mode where you can just play and interact with Elmo. You can hold Elmo’s hand, tickle him, kiss his cheek, clap his hands, jump up and down with him, and Elmo responds. Oliver’s very favorite thing to do is to squeeze Elmo’s nose. Each time it makes a different sound and he just cracks up laughing when it makes the doorbell sound. He also especially loves throwing Elmo up in the air because Elmo says, “weee”.

The preschool mode is also pretty cool. By squeezing Elmo’s nose you can choose which game to play. Oliver is a little bit young for some of the games, but he loves holding Elmo and playing the freeze dance game with his big siblings.

And with the flip of a switch you can put Elmo into nap mode and he starts talking about being tired and taking a nap. It’s a great sleep cue to use to help your toddler wind down for nap time.

This picture cracks me up because Oliver is making the same goofy grin that Elmo is.

Play All Day Elmo 6

If you’re looking for the perfect toddler gift idea this Christmas, this is it! Your toddler will be thrilled to open that big box and see Elmo’s furry red cuteness and big eyes. Plus, it’s a fun toy that toddlers can play and grow with. Even though it’s meant for ages 18 months to 4 years old, Oliver’s big brother (6) and sister (4) love playing with Elmo with Oliver.

Aw I bet he is so cute with it! Oliver mostly loves squeezing Elmo’s nose – does Thomas have a favorite?
