I recently discovered Tagxedo, a great free website where you can easily make your own word clouds and printables (thank you The Crafty Scientist). Here are a few nursery themed word clouds I made. I also made this bird using the lyrics to the song “Blackbird” by The Beatles. Then Grant saw what I was doing and made this map of the USA out of the song “Born in the USA”

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

I saw this tutorial by Chris of Man Made and I loved it. Also read the little bit he wrote about how string art became popular in the late 60s and 70s. I showed it to my mother and she said that she used to make string art when she was younger but had completely forgotten about it (and she is more of a math person than an art person).
