Free Nursery Printables

I recently discovered Tagxedo, a great free website where you can easily make your own word clouds and printables (thank you The Crafty Scientist). Here are a few nursery themed word clouds I made. I also made this bird using the lyrics to the song “Blackbird” by The Beatles. Then Grant saw what I was doing and made this map of the USA out of the song “Born in the USA”

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

She found that the really large pumpkins were great for almost walking babies like herself. Since we live in Orlando, it was actually pretty warm. Grant was even a little hot in shorts and a t-shirt. When I first heard about the software, I wasn’t quite sure how it would be better than the free photo

White Crayon Secret Messages

White Crayon Secret Messages

Right now my 2 year old son Benjamin isn’t able to draw great pictures, or do much more than scribbling somewhat in the lines. What I like to do is prepare the white pieces of paper he uses before he gets them. All you have to do is draw pictures, shapes, or messages in a white (NOT washable) crayon. Then let your toddler draw all over it with markers, watercolors,

A Few Short Stories

A Few Short Stories

The Switch Yesterday morning, Benjamin and Lyla woke up around the same time. We got them up and put them on the bed next to us. I gave Lyla her bottle Benjamin gave Lyla her bottle. The second Lyla was done with her bottle, she threw it off the bed and leaped over Benjamin so that she could sit with her Daddy. Almost simultaneously, Benjamin crawled around his baby sister so
