Yarn Wrapped Tree Ornaments

December 4, 2012 by Rachel 1 Comment

Welcome Ashley! I love her whimsical Christmas theme this year, and these ornaments are adorable.

Hi Everyone! I’m Ashley, and I blog over at Cherished Bliss.

I’m so excited to be over here sharing an ornament tutorials. I have been having so much fun with ornaments this year!
I have a whole whimsical theme happening this year on my blog , the kids are LOVING it!
A little about me… I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful children! My family is truly my inspiration for EVERYTHING you see on my blog! I love them more than anything! : ) I am 100% addicted to coffee, so grab a cup and stop by for a visit!

Today I’m going to share with you my Yarn Wrapped Christmas Tree Ornaments.

Here is what you will need for these super easy ornaments:
Yarn
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Thick posterboard of some kind (I used an old cereal box)
Let’s get started!
First just cut some Christmas tree shapes out of your cereal box (or whatever you are using) I just eyeballed it.

Then I just glued the start of the yarn at the top of the tree and wrapped around until I covered the whole thing, securing with glue along the way.

Then I just took a piece of yarn, tied a knot, and glued it to the back.

And that’s it. Easy right?
The kids love them, I love them, and the hubs loves them because they are practically free!
Win Win for everyone!

Love those wrapped ornaments! The aqua/red combo is so fantastic, and the yarn makes them feel so cozy and homey.
