Lines Across

Lets Make a Mess

Dot Painting (Craft Stash Bash #4 – C.R.A.F.T.)

June 7, 2012 by Rachel 3 Comments

Welcome Jamie from C.R.A.F.T.!

Jamie from C.R.A.F.T.

I blog over at C.R.A.F.T., and I ‘m super excited to participate in Rachel’s Craft Stash Summer Series! I have a fun craft that will keep the kiddos busy for at least a half hour! The best part is you probably have all of the materials in your cabinets right now…
For the dot painting you will need:
  • note card
  • Q-Tips
  • Paint
  • Pencil

Here’s how you do it:
  1. Use a pencil to draw a simple picture
  2. Use q-tip to begin dotting in the lines
  3. Change q-tips when you change colors
In 30 minutes or less… you have a lovely little dot painting! Be sure and ask your kids if they’ve ever heard of pointillism. That’s sure to brew up a few questions and get a mini lesson in during the summer time 🙂

Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your blog with me today 🙂

What a good idea for young children, and it is so simple to do. Thanks for sharing it.
