Lines Across

Lets Make a Mess

Baby name photograph art

June 11, 2011 by Rachel 23 Comments

Baby Name Photographs – Wall Hangings

This is a simple craft idea that I came up with while playing with Play-doh with Benjamin. I made the letters for the title of my blog out of different colors of play-doh and then decided to spell out Benjamin and Lyla.

What I used:

Imaginarium Wooden Xylophone
or… Schylling Xylophone – Wooden
or any colorful toy or background
White Play-doh
Canon Rebel EOS

I made the letters very simple and childlike

You can take pictures from different angles…

You can zoom in on just a few letters…

I am planning on printing these next two pictures and framing them with a simple white wooden frame and hanging them in our play area.

You can also take pictures of words like BABY, PLAY, LAUGH, HAPPY…
Here I chose to do more of a cursive font.

I set the xylophone right by the window so that there was a lot of natural light and turned the camera flash off.

LOVE the personalized feel of this project.

Of course with a company name like: Rainbows Within Reach, it goes without saying that I appreciate the 'rainbow' in all possible forms.

Clever! Thanks, too for the photography tips.

Well done! (Popped in from WeTeach)

This is a great idea! You could set up a shop like zazzle or something and sell all different names etc.
Or you could just frame and enjoy your beautiful photos and time with your kids.
