Lines Across

Lets Make a Mess

Creating a Fun Workspace

July 19, 2015 by Rachel 1 Comment

I am proud do be a 3M-sponsored blogger, and as a part of my responsibilities, I get the opportunity to evaluate 3M products. Opinions are my own and additional products used in the project were selected by me.

Sometimes decorating is difficult for me. I think that a big part of it is that I can be indecisive about design, and choosing just one color to paint the walls, and just one rug, and just one picture to hang is a hard thing to do. So when I saw the way that the Damage-Free Wall Tiles by Command Brand are interchangeable, I knew it would make decorating a little more fun.

This little area used to be just a blank space with an old picture hanging on the wall. I was planning on putting my little white desk there, and using it as a place to sit and work on my laptop, or do other work, and I just love how this whole little wall (that only took me about an hour to put together start to finish) transforms it into my own fun workspace.

So just to tell you a little bit more about the Damage-Free Wall Tiles: They come with two parts, the wall art piece and the backing. You can attach the backing to the wall with just one special Command strip and a built in level. It was so nice not trying to balance the level on top of what I was trying to hang while holding a pencil in the other hand trying to mark where to hammer into the wall. Then, once the backing is properly hung, the front piece just snaps on magnetically.

The best part is that you can easily switch out the artwork.

These wall tiles are available exclusively on Amazon (my favorite way to shop!), and there are even chalkboard and dry erase tiles as well. I also added some Mini Spring Clips to hang some of the artwork I’ve been working on, and a little clear hook to hang some clay feathers I made.

I think that the blue coral one is my favorite, but there are so many fun ones to choose from and even some picture frames. Earlier in the day, I had arranged the tiles completely differently. I was able to switch up the tiles and hang something different in the mini clip in about 2 minutes.

And you can check out this simple 40 second video that shows you how easy it is to install, change, and remove these tiles without damaging your wall at all.
