Lets Make a Mess

My Little Pony Gift Wrap

December 22, 2015 by Rachel Leave a Comment

I don’t know about you, but my kids absolutely LOVE My Little Pony, especially my 5 year old daughter Lyla. We were thrilled to get to test out these Playskool Friends My Little Pony toys as the final sponsored post in the series I’ve been doing with Playskool and Socialstars. Thanks for supporting the brands and support Lines Across. #Playskoolcrew

When we first got these Playskool Friends My Little Pony Toys, Lyla was so excited to share them with her little brother Oliver. I’ve had a LOT of extra things to do lately and I asked Lyla to “babysit” Oliver for a little while so that I could get some work done. Of course since she’s only 5, I’m still supervising them, but Lyla is sometimes able to really entertain him and keep an eye on him very well. She was so excited to play with these My Little Pony toys with Oliver. They are absolutely perfect for his age right now, and the two of them had a lot of fun together.

Playskool My Little Pony Toys - Ponies

They first wanted to open up the Playskool Friends My Little Pony Collector Pack, which includes 7 different cute ponies that are so easy for little toddler hands to hold, and fit into the other Playskool Friends toys. They are also awesome because there are no pieces that can break off or be eaten or anything. Playskool My Little Pony Toys - Ponies 2

Then they wanted to open the Playskool Friends My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Friendship Bus. Oliver absolutely LOVES buses right now, and he loves how the door flies open when he presses a button. It’s so fun seeing his imagination in action as he plays pretend with little characters. He also had fun putting more of his characters in the bus with Rainbow Dash and driving them around.

And of course the ponies need somewhere to go in their stylish bus – The Playskool Friends Musical Celebration Castle. This castle is so amazing, and Oliver (and Lyla) have been having so much fun playing with it. Oliver has cracked up laughing so many times as he watches the ponies fly down the slide. His favorite part though is pressing the big button to spin the wheel with the ponies on it. I love these kinds of toys that encourage little ones to pretend play. He also loves looking though the little door at the bottom of the castle and saying “hello” while either Lyla or I are looking back at him from the other side.

And I’ve also put together some free printable cutie mark gift tags that you can use when wrapping up these gifts. It would be so cute to buy solid colored wrapping paper that matches a cutie mark too. I’ve also put together these little My Little Pony gift bags with tissue paper, clear treat bags, and yarn that matches each pony’s mane.

Kids love unwrapping presents at Christmas – that’s half the fun! But you don’t necessarily want to get your 2 year old a million presents to fill up the house. Last year I wrapped up some of Oliver’s favorite snacks for him to open and he had a blast. My Little Pony - Printable Cutie Mark Gift TagsAnother fun idea is to wrap up each pony individually instead of all together in one package. That way, your child has 7 different presents to open and get excited about. Plus, it’s even more fun if the gift wrap is exciting too.

Rainbow Dash Gift Bag

This My Little Pony gift wrap is very quick and easy to put together. First download and print the free printable cutie mark gift tags. You can go ahead and cut them out as squares, or use a large circle punch to punch them out. Wrap one individual pony in light blue tissue paper, then stick it inside of a clear plastic treat bag. Cut pieces of yarn about 12 inches long that match each pony’s mane. For Rainbow Dash, I used red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. Tie a knot at the top of the bag. Now use double sided tape or another adhesive to attach the cutie mark to the front of the bag.

Lyla loves Fluttershy because she loves animals and the color yellow, but I love Rainbow Dash because she is brave and loyal… and because I love rainbows of course too. What about you – which pony is your child’s favorite?
