Leafy Watercolor Printable Pillow Boxes

June 1, 2016 by Rachel Leave a Comment

Thanks Goldfish® Crackers for sponsoring this post.

My kids have already been out of school for a week and a half, and I have really been looking forward to summer this year. I want our summer to be full of aimless little adventures. One of our favorite activities is to go outside for a walk, or to the park, and look for beautiful leaves and things. Of course any good adventure needs a great snack like Goldfish crackers to go along with it. So I made these fun leafy printable pillow boxes to encourage outdoor adventures.

We always love to look for leaves of different sizes and colors. And then we love to arrange them by color, or use them to make fun patterns and shapes.

These free printable pillow boxes are some of my favorites because they are so easy to assemble. I’ve made a lot of different versions over the past couple of years, and these are covered in a leafy watercolor print that I painted recently. One says “Go on an adventure” and the other one says “play, explore, have fun.”

First, download the free printable here! (I hand painted the leafy watercolor design)

How to make these pillow boxes:

  1. Download the free printable and print it onto white cardstock.
  2. Cut out the boxes along the outermost black lines.
  3. Using the edge of your scissors, lightly score along the other black lines: the two long vertical lines, and the four arcs.
  4. Fold along the lines you just scored. Using glue dots or even a hot glue gun, attach the long tab to the opposite inside of the box. This is the only place you need to attach.
  5. Pop the box out into a pillow and fold the four rounded tabs inward.

Fill with Goldfish Mix crackers (like the Honey Mustard + Pretzel Crackers seen here) and enjoy!
